Graphics

This is a set of free graphics illustrating the alphabet in nautical flags (from alpha to zulu, no numbers) which I originally created to use in an educational game. All SVG, PNG and ICO format flag graphics are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.0 license.  Please feel free to use them, but it would be nice if you could email me to tell me what you have done.  Previous uses include business cards and a promotional campaign for a company.

The flags were once used on the International maritime signal flags page at Wikipedia, until a wikifiddler came along and "trumped them with his own set".

WOW, this was just what I was looking for as we get ready to redesign our web site. As you will see, the website is very outdates and is screaming for a facelift. That is what we intend to do over the next six months. I would like to incorporate the flags into our theme somehow and hope to be inspired soon. I really like the look and feel of your web site. Good job!

Thanks for making the flags availalbe!

Thank you so much for these! I am designing our save the date magnets for our wedding (nautical theme) and was having a terrible time finding these with a decent quality for me to resize! You saved the day!!!

  1. [...] Maritime signal flags from Edeca.net – in SVG, PNG and ICO format. Beautiful – and, depending on what you do, either just beautiful or also very useful. [...]
